How to Celebrate Gym Victories While Maintaining Your Success

We recently wrapped up our Macro Madness challenge and you’re likely feeling on top of the world right now. Pounds came off, muscle was built and you’ve established solid nutrition habits that you can incorporate into your daily routine. You’ve got a system in place, and it’s working. 

Now it’s time to celebrate! Time to finally enjoy that (insert your favorite cheat meal) and enjoy the sweet taste of success. 

While we certainly don’t condone a cheat meal every now and then, the end of a challenge can sometimes present the perfect opportunity to slide back into our old habits. We’re no longer planning every meal and checking in with our coaches every day. No one will know if we order a large pizza and skip a workout.  

Instead of focusing all your celebrations around food, consider congratulating yourself in other ways that still align with your fitness goals. If you’re looking for some ideas on how to celebrate the end of the challenge without sabotaging all your success, consider the below ideas: 


  1. Invest in some new workout clothes! 

Chances are you’re feeling as fit as ever right now. Show off your success with some new workout clothes! Make a day out of it and go to your favorite store and pick out something you’ve been eyeballing. You deserve it! 


  1. Up your meal-prep game with some fancy gadgets. 

The kitchen is no longer intimidating. After six weeks of meal prepping, you likely know which tools need to be replaced. Those plastic Tupperware containers from Walmart? You can do better. Invest in some durable containers and maybe that blender or fancy non-stick pan you’ve been eying. 


  1. Sign up for a competition. 

Put those PR’s to good use and sign up for a competition. Whether you’re a lifting king or a cardio queen, chances are there’s a race or competition coming up. Throw your name in the hat and continue your nutrition journey so you can take home the gold. 


  1. Get some family photos! 

If you did the challenge with your significant other, then you both need to document how great you feel and take some new family photos. Before Alabama unleashes its summertime fury, pick out a flattering winter outfit and schedule a session with a local photographer. 

No matter how you choose to celebrate, remember that your health is a lifetime journey! Continue to invest in yourself by fueling your body with good food.
