Protein that keeps you full

The benefits of having a high-protein diet are numerous. Protein makes up the building blocks of muscles, organs and your skin. It also plays a key role in increasing muscle mass and gaining strength — who doesn’t want that! If you want to see more results from your hard work in the gym, then incorporating protein into your diet is key. Plus, eating foods high in protein can help you feel fuller longer.

Instead of filling up on sugary snacks that lack the nutrients you need, consider fueling up on one of the proteins listed below.

Eggs
The best way to start your day on a protein-packed note? Load up your plate with plenty of eggs. Packed with healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, eggs are an excellent source of protein. Also, egg whites are almost pure protein. Consider getting a carton of egg whites next time you’re at the grocery store.

Chicken Breast
One of the most popular protein-rich foods, chicken breast is a versatile option for getting in your daily protein. If you eat it without the skin, most of the calories are from protein. Use it for sandwiches, wraps, bowls — the options are endless.

Oats
If you’re looking for a clean grain that is protein-rich, opt for oats. Most popular in the early-morning hours, oats can be a great option for breakfast. Pair them with your favorite fruits and nuts and you’ll stay fuller longer.

Lean Beef
High in protein and iron, lean beef can be a great option for those on low-carb diets. Much like chicken breast, lean beef can be a great go-to option for many meals. Cook it in bulk and pair with roasted veggies or make it your star-player in a taco night.

Lentils
Lentils, a type of legume, are high in magnesium, potassium, fiber, iron, folate and many other nutrients. Toss these in with a lean meat and a healthy carb and voila — you have a beautifully balanced meal!

Greek Yogurt
One of the best things about Greek Yogurt is its ability to be sweet or savory. Mix it in with powdered peanut butter and fruit and you have a delicious, sweet breakfast. Or, combine it with chopped cucumber, olives and oregano and you have a truly Greek-inspired dish!

Whey Protein Supplements.
If you find it hard to get all the protein you need in one day, then turn to Whey Protein Supplements. Protein shakes are a great on-the-go option for fueling your body and maximizing the hard work you put in at the gym. With several flavor options like vanilla, chocolate and more, a protein shake also satisfies the sweet tooth. It’s a win-win!
